Visit San Antonio is excited to announce that we will be launching our first San Antonio Restaurant Week - River Walk Edition (May 12th -18th) by incorporating a free mobile-exclusive digital pass that allows visitors and locals to explore the participating restaurants prix-fixe menus in order to earn prizes and explore our diverse and vibrant culinary scene. The pass will be included in our marketing efforts, and we’d love for your business to be involved!
Here are the top 5 things you need to know to get involved:
- Participation is free for featured Visit San Antonio restaurant/hotel restaurant members in the Downtown, Southtown, Pearl regions.
- The mobile pass is delivered instantly via text and email—no app needed.
- It’s gamified, so customers earn prizes by checking into participating locations.
- You can offer prix-fixe menus to attract more visitors and boost spending.
- Redemption is simple: passholders scan your unique QR code to check in, with offers time-stamped at use.
- Donation Opportunity: participating restaurants can opt to include a $1 donation per prix fixe meal to support the San Antonio Hospitality Foundation.

What will VSA help provide?

What are the Menu Guidelines?
- All menus must include three distinct courses (Appetizer, Entrée, Dessert).
- Menus should reflect the restaurant’s style and standard of quality.
- Dishes must be dine-in friendly and well-executed during high-volume service.
- Prix-fixe offerings should present meaningful value compared to regular menu prices.
- Recommended $25 Lunch and $45 Dinner are very common and well-balanced price points for Restaurant Week events, offering perceived value to guests and fair margins to restaurants.

Is there an option for add-on pricing?
Yes, restaurants are encouraged to include optional add-ons to enhance the guest experience and boost revenue, such as:
- A featured cocktail, wine pairing, or beer for $X
- A bonus course like a cheese plate or amuse-bouche
- A premium entrée upgrade for an additional charge
All upsell options must be clearly listed on the menu with pricing.

Is there a cost to participate?
No, there is no cost for your restaurant to participate.
Can I still submit my participation even if I do not have my menu details yet?
Yes, please still submit your participation form request, a team member will reach out to you to finalize your menu details. You have until April 20th to finalize your menu details.
Who can participate in the San Antonio Restaurant Week – River Walk Edition?
All downtown and hotel restaurants are eligible to participate and restaurants in downtown adjacent areas such as the Pearl and Southtown regions are also encouraged to join.
What is the deadline to submit my participation?
Friday, March 28th, 2025. Please note, first submit your participation form by completing the form listing. You have until April 20th, 2025 to submit your menu details.
What are the next steps after I submit my participation form?
You will be receiving an onboarding email from the Bandwango platform where you can easily add and update how your business will be presented on this mobile pass. Our Bandwango representatives will be following up to help answer any questions and provide redemption instructions for you to share with your staff.

Is there a donation opportunity?
Yes, participating restaurants may opt to include a $1 donation per prix fixe meal to support the San Antonio Hospitality Foundation. Participating restaurants will be responsible for tracking contributions, and Visit San Antonio will collect the total donation at the end of Restaurant Week. This optional effort helps give back to our local hospitality community.
