Program Overview – Become a World Heritage Ambassador
The World Heritage Ambassador Program, managed by the City of San Antonio World Heritage Office in partnership with Visit San Antonio and the San Antonio Hospitality Champion program, provides in-depth training on the World Heritage inscription process. Participants learn about the authenticity and integrity of the five Mission sites and Buffer Zone, key historical and cultural context, and San Antonio’s designation as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.
Requirements
Participants in the World Heritage Ambassador Program must:
- Complete the San Antonio Hospitality Champion program as a prerequisite, a membership number will be provided once completed.
- Register for and complete the online World Heritage Ambassador program training with a minimum passing score of 70%.
Completion Benefits
- Receive an official certificate of completion from the World Heritage Office.
- Receive a World Heritage Ambassador pin.
- Join a distinguished network of hospitality professionals who help ensure accurate and consistent interpretation of the Missions.
