Dear Valued Partners:

Early last month, we published a revamped quarterly executive summary. I hope the newsletter was insightful. If you missed the newsletter in your inbox, you can find it on the Visit San Antonio website. The next quarterly summary will be published in early May.

Here are some highlights from the previous month:

Transforming Leaders: On February 3rd, we hosted our annual Transforming Leaders Series in Austin. In total, 58 Association CEO's, Directors, and Managers from all over Texas gathered for a great networking and educational morning. This year, our speaker, Susan Frew, gave a presentation on AI in the workplace and how anyone can use it to grow their business, improve efficiency, and save money. We are grateful for the ongoing partnership with the Texas Society of Association Executives to offer such a successful program!

Texas Music Educators Association Annual Convention: An estimated 30,000 attendees for the Texas Music Educators Association Annual Convention (TMEA) filled the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center from Feb. 11–14. The convention generated an estimated economic impact of $26.8 million. Attendees consisted of music educators from kindergarten through college levels, college student members, high school students planning careers in music education, performers, exhibitors, and family members. TMEA has met in San Antonio since 1985.

Rodeo San Antonio 2026: It was another successful rodeo season in the Alamo City! Our Convention Sales team showcased the Rodeo and our city’s capabilities to a number of key group clients. The Media Relations team hosted three groups of journalists this year, from the U.S., Mexico, and the UK, to show not only the western lifestyle culture in our city but also the latest news across San Antonio. We appreciate SA Rodeo for all their assistance and look forward to Rodeo San Antonio 2027.

The month of March is packed with family fun as Spring Break kicks off next week, followed by St. Patrick’s Day festivities. Be sure to attend the Bud Light St. Patrick’s Day River Parades and Celebration, including the River Walk Royal Coronation and the Emerald Run 5K, from March 14-15. See you at the parades!
