Real Stories. True Adventures. Welcome to Real & True San Antonio.

Over more than three centuries, San Antonio has become renowned as one of the country’s most unique and extraordinary destinations. Authenticity is San Antonio’s greatest brand asset and is the true soul of the city.

Real stories. True experiences. An effort that will showcase all that makes San Antonio special – a destination that does not pretend to be like anybody else because, simply, it is anything but. There are real stories to tell about San Antonio, its history, and its people – and we look forward to doing just that.

The campaign highlights our brand pillars of Arts & Culture, Fun, Culinary, and History – these elements will be emphasized in various print and digital ads.

We are truly proud of this campaign and what it means for our community.

Social Media

April proved to be a strong month for growth on Visit San Antonio’s Twitter and LinkedIn channels. Much of April’s coverage focused on events surrounding Fiesta San Antonio and fed into an increase of engagements on Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. Though Facebook did not have quite as much of an increase of engagements as all other channels, it did show a 22% increase in video views in April.

The San Antonio River Walk’s channels also experienced audience growth across all channels. Instagram stories proved to be a very successful strategy for the River Walk social channels and will continue to be utilized throughout the coming months.

Online Engagement

Visit San Antonio’s OLE continues to stay strong. April saw a whopping 4.5 million web sessions, a 62% increase over this month’s estimated projection. Contributing to this strong showing was over 273,000 new users to VisitSanAntonio.com and over 685,000 pageviews. Over 84% of traffic to VisitSanAntonio.com in the month of April was new users.

Visitor’s Guide

As Visit San Antonio wraps up production of the new 2022-2023 Official Visitor’s Guide, the 2021-2022 Visitor’s Guide reached over 7,800 reads in April bringing the total reads to over 87,000 since launching in June 2021.

Visit San Antonio is excited to launch the brand-new 2022-2023 Official Visitor’s Guide on June 2, 2022 to coincide with the launch of our new campaign.

Summer Events

San Antonio is the place to be this summer. We are excited to be hosting the first ever Pride celebration on the San Antonio River Walk. The inaugural Bud Light Pride River Parade was created by Visit San Antonio to promote the city’s inclusion, encouragement and support of the LGBTQ+ community to live openly with equal rights. Visitors and residents alike are invited to join as members of the community or allies as they come together at the historic La Villita district and River Walk Downtown and Museum Reaches for this colorful, entertaining yet heartfelt moment of unity. Join us Saturday, June 18th for the Bud Light Pride River Parade & Celebration.
