Dear Valued Partners:

The Visit San Antonio team hit the ground running, actively promoting San Antonio, meeting with new and potential clients, and securing top-tier media to tell San Antonio’s distinctive story. And in January, there was no greater story to tell than how thousands of San Antonio residents united in solidarity for the MLK March, showing the nation the face of an empowered community. Thank you to everyone who took the time to march, give back to the community, or engage in a DreamWeek event(s). Here are some highlights from the previous month:

PCMA Convening Leaders: Nearly 100 customers attended a Visit San Antonio customer engagement event at the PCMA Convening Leaders 2026 in Philadelphia, PA. The event offered customers the opportunity to interact with the Visit San Antonio Sales team and take home a small piece of our city with gifts from San Antonio’s Jon Hart Designs.

SA Culture & Black Heritage Fam: Visit San Antonio continued telling the story of the confluence of cultures that make our city unique, capitalizing on the MLK Day March as a news angle to showcase Black heritage and modern culture. Participating media representing Forbes, Black Enterprise, Vibe, Hello Beautiful, and travel creator Roaming with Romie explored DreamWeek events, Black-owned and signature local restaurants, toured the upcoming SAAACAM Museum and many additional facets of San Antonio.

IMM New York: The Visit San Antonio Media Relations team, like our Convention Sales team, is back on the road early in the new year, with a first stop being the International Media Marketplace (IMM) New York City in late January. While there, our team met with dozens of top national media to pitch them on the many stories of San Antonio. This trip usually generates dozens of major national media stories in the following year, and we cannot wait to see the resulting production in 2026.

In the coming days, you will receive the Visit San Antonio Quarterly Executive Summary, a data-driven newsletter highlighting key organizational metrics and analysis. This comprehensive report offers a clear view of the current state of San Antonio’s tourism and hospitality industry and the progress driving our destination forward. We encourage you to watch your inbox and explore the insights ahead.
