San Antonio, TX — The Alamo, Texas’ top tourist destination and part of the state’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site, is proud to announce the expansion of its Spanish-language guided tours to seven days a week. This new initiative builds on the success of the tours’ initial launch and reaffirms the Alamo’s commitment to making the iconic site accessible to visitors from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

The expanded Spanish-language tours, part of the "Remember The Alamo™ Guided Tours" program, will now be offered twice every day at 11:15 am and 2:15 pm, providing even more opportunities for Spanish-speaking visitors to connect with the Alamo’s rich history. These guided tours complement the Alamo’s existing audio tours, which are available in multiple languages, ensuring that visitors from around the world can explore this historic site in their preferred language.

This announcement coincides with the 296th anniversary of February 14, 1729, when the Spanish nobleman Marqués de San Miguel de Aguayo issued a decree calling for the settlement of Texas, which ultimately led to the founding of Mission San Antonio de Valero—the site that would later become known as the Alamo. The expansion of Spanish-language tours highlights the Alamo’s dedication to honoring its deep Spanish and Mexican heritage while sharing its story with a global audience.

Visitors who take part in the Spanish-language guided tours will experience an in-depth exploration of the Alamo’s 300-year history, from its origins as a Spanish mission to its pivotal role in the Texas Revolution. The tours are led by expert guides and feature a rich narrative that brings to life the diverse stories of the people who lived, fought, and died at the Alamo.

Esta nueva iniciativa se debe al éxito del lanzamiento inicial de los recorridos en español y reafirma la dedicación del Álamo a hacer este sitio icónico accesible a todos sus visitantes de lugares e idiomas diversos.

Los recorridos en español, que son parte del programa de recorridos “Recuerden el Álamo”, ahora serán ofrecidos dos veces al día, todos los días a las 11:15 am y 2:15 pm. Así podremos proveer más oportunidades para que los visitantes hispanohablantes estén más conectados con la rica historia del Álamo. Estos recorridos guiados en español complementan los audioguías que ya se ofrecen en el Álamo, los cuales están disponibles en varios idiomas y aseguran que todos los visitantes de alrededor del mundo puedan explorar este sitio histórico en su lenguaje preferido. 

Este anuncio coincide con el 296 aniversario del 14 de febrero de 1729, cuando el noble español Marqués de San Miguel de Aguay emitió un decreto donde se solicitaba la colonización de Tejas. Lo que finalmente condujo a la fundación de la Misión San Antonio de Valero, el sitio que después sería conocido como el Álamo. Los visitantes que participen en los recorridos en español tendrán una experiencia que explora la profunda historia de los 300 años del Álamo, desde sus orígenes como misión española hasta su papel fundamental en la revolución de Tejas. Los recorridos son dirigidos por guías expertos, quienes cuentan con una rica narrativa de las vidas de las personas quienes vivieron, lucharon y murieron en el Ålamo.
