SAN ANTONIO – Morgan’s Inspiration Island will launch its summer season of aquatic fun in the sun with “Splash Day 2024,” Friday, May 17.

The splashing at the Ultra-Accessible™, fully-inclusive park will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will come on the heels of the park being voted “Best Waterpark” in the 2024 San Antonio Express-News’ Readers’ Choice Awards, said Richard Pretlow, park president. “We’re extremely proud of this recognition, and we hope to welcome guests galore on many days throughout the summer season that concludes Sept. 29.”

To add to the island ambiance for Splash Day on the 17th and the following day, Saturday, May 18, the Island Boogie steel drums ensemble will provide Caribbean rhythms from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Tropically-themed Morgan’s Inspiration Island, located adjacent to world-renowned, nonprofit Morgan’s Wonderland theme park in Northeast San Antonio, includes five major splash pads and support facilities such as the Wheelchair Valet, where guests can transfer out of their personal wheelchairs into specially-designed waterproof wheelchairs for maximum aquatic enjoyment. The park and its revolutionary wheelchairs earned a spot in TIME magazine's listing of 100 World’s Greatest Places shortly after its grand opening in 2017.

Like Morgan’s Wonderland during the off-season, Morgan’s Inspiration refreshed its food outlets and other park facilities for added guest convenience and enjoyment, Pretlow added.

Morgan’s Inspiration Island is an outgrowth of the success of Morgan’s Wonderland, the world’s first theme park built for people of all abilities and designed for everyone’s enjoyment. Other “family” members include Morgan’s Sports, Morgan’s Camp, and Morgan’s MAC (Multi-Assistance Center). These and other inclusion-centric ventures comprise Morgan’s, the umbrella organization that oversees all Morgan’s entities and initiatives. For more information, visit
