San Antonio, TX – [AUGUST 26, 2024] – Get ready to immerse yourself in a culinary and cultural extravaganza as La Villita transforms into a FREE 3-day festival of food, fun and celebration during San Antonio's inaugural Oktoberfest at La Villita. Set in the city’s oldest neighborhood, adjacent to the River Walk, Oktoberfest at La Villita will be open to the public September 20-22. There, Maverick Plaza becomes the epicenter of a vibrant cultural festival, bringing together the best of German, Czech, Polish, and Alsatian traditions. General admission is free, though voluntary donations are welcome, benefiting the nonprofit Kitchen Campus Foundation for youth education. Ticketed chef, winemaker, and brewmaster tasting/pairing events will be offered, as well.

Savor the Flavors of Europe
Savor the authentic flavors of Europe as renowned area chefs showcase their culinary expertise. Indulge in mouthwatering jägerschnitzel, tantalizing charcuterie, cured meats, pork chops, pierogies, kolaches, handmade pretzels, and savory Alsatian and German sausages. Pair these delectable dishes with Hill Country wines, Texas craft beers, and authentic German brews.

Beyond the Food
Beyond the food, experience the dynamic atmosphere with live bands, colorfully costumed dance troupes, captivating arts and crafts, and engaging cultural demonstrations. Discover the fascinating connections between Central and Eastern European influences and San Antonio's rich heritage. Enjoy beer keg-tapping events, beer stein-hoisting contests, special cultural arts performances, and family fun.

"Oktoberfest at La Villita is a celebration of San Antonio’s rich cultural heritage, showcasing some of the European influences that came to shape the city it is today," says Rene Capistran of Noble Texas Builders, title sponsor of the event. "Noble is committed to the communities we serve, so we're pleased to honor the confluences of cultures so integral to San Antonio’s unique story. We also champion youth education and support the nonprofit Kitchen Campus Foundation, so we're happy they're beneficiaries of this event.”
