San Antonio is one of the nation’s first cities and only Texas city on the Metaverse to innovatively grow inbound travel demand and audiences.

SAN ANTONIO – Visit San Antonio, San Antonio’s destination marketing organization, launched a new digital landscape of the Alamo City on the immersive 3D virtual reality platform Metaverse. San Antonio’s 210 Plaza allows visitors to be immersed in curated content that explores San Antonio’s arts and culture, world-class culinary scene, iconic attractions and more.

San Antonio is one of the nation’s first cities and the only Texas city on the Metaverse. Visit San Antonio partnered with the Mighty Beast to create the digital entertainment platform of the 210 Plaza. This initiative incorporates new technologies to bolster leisure travel among emerging and new audiences and better compete with more established destinations.

“210 Plaza opens the door to an exciting journey into a realm that captures the real and true essence of our vibrant city. It is the heart of our virtual universe and mirrors the spirit of San Antonio,” said Marc Anderson, President and CEO of Visit San Antonio, “Every corner of the plaza tells our story through an engaging virtual experience where visitors build interest to visit and fully experience the uniqueness of our city.”

Through Metaverse, Visit San Antonio launched the first-ever short film created for San Antonio, "Corazón City." The film showcases the allure of the Alamo City through cinematic features of some of the city’s most prized locations, such as the River Walk, Market Square and San Antonio Missions National Historical Park.

San Antonio’s eclectic culinary scene is on full display at the 210 Plaza Food Hall, which features episodes of "Keeping it Real with Greg Grunberg.” Visitors will tag along with the Hollywood star as he indulges in the flavors of San Antonio, giving viewers a taste of the city’s evolving culinary scene.

With arts and culture being key a pillar of San Antonio’s unique offerings, “Culture Clash with Gio DiZurita” highlights the city’s creative community. The podcast will host intriguing discussions with renowned painters, writers, musicians and artists in its inaugural season.
