Brand USA Focus on Mexico and Canada 

Staff attended the Brand USA’s Focus on Mexico and Focus on Canada programs.  These two programs gave updates for each country. The updates included the latest research on travel intent, expert opinions on projected travel trends and strategic insights to help inform recovery plans when cross-border travel resumes.  The Focus programs also included presentations from leading airlines, tour operators and media outlets. Through our partnership with Brand USA, we have been able to secure added value from these types of programs.  While the borders for both Mexico and Canada remain closed, the information that was shared by each of the presenters highlighted the pent-up demand for travel to the United States.  

Tiqets Live Webinar – Product Development 

Operating since 2014, Tiqets developed a platform for the consumer to use the phones they have in their pockets to speed up the entrance process for museums, attractions and cultural institutions. Now, consumers use Tiqets to easily discover, buy and access museums and attractions across the globe. As we work to add San Antonio museums and attractions to its growing list of destinations, Visit San Antonio co-hosted a live webinar with Sue Warnke, Regional Manager from Tiqets. Tiqets is a third-party operator that reaches consumers domestically and internationally and can help provide museums and attractions increased visibility in the marketplace.  Attendees of the webinar learned what a partnership with looks like and the benefits of their reach.  Should you be interested in having initial conversations or exploring opportunities, please contact Francisco Gallegos at  

Coming Promotions and Programs 

Staff continues to work on programs and promotions with MasterCard Travel Rewards Mexico, MasterCard Priceless Experiences and MasterCard Travel and Leisure. These programs will have opportunities for partner participation.
