Travel Texas Sales & Media Mission
Tourism Development staff participated in the 2022 Travel Texas Sales & Media Mission to London. The visit included UK Media, Virgin Atlantic Travel Agent and Product Manager Workshop, where we shared stories on the current and updated experiences in San Antonio. Updates included discussing IPW 2023, the upcoming eclipses, the ease of traveling to San Antonio from all Texas international gateway cities and connecting our members with contracting opportunities. In April, Travel Texas, through their partnership with Brand USA, will kick off a direct-to-consumer digital campaign that will highlight key areas on how San Antonio is a frontier with respect to history, arts, and culture, outdoor spaces and food.
Visit San Antonio Sales & Media Mission
At the end of March, Tourism Development staff, in conjunction with Media Relations, coordinated a Visit San Antonio UK Mission to strategize opportunities for maximum exposure utilizing channels through tourism trade and direct-to-consumer avenues. While strategizing, there were additional opportunities to develop the destination with tourism trade clients that did not historically carry San Antonio or Texas. As the United Kingdom continues to hold the No. 1 ranking in inbound travel overseas, we have collected proposals to consider for future campaigning in the source market.
