This year Visit San Antonio has experienced growth in members representing all sectors of tourism and hospitality. As of the beginning of August, 159 new members have joined, including restaurants/bars, hotels/lodging, venues, service providers, arts and culture organizations, tour providers, attractions, shopping, sports facilities and more. The membership team continues outreach to identify and target underrepresented businesses and organizations to ensure our membership base reflects the diversity of our city.
Programming for members in July included a Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) course and a webinar presented by Smith Travel Research on the local and national lodging industry analysis and outlook. As our economic landscape continues to evolve, the data presented will help our members decipher market conditions and make informed planning and operational decisions. We are also preparing to host our members this October at the Visit San Antonio Annual Meeting where we will provide an overview of our FY 2023 Strategic Plan and engage in breakout sessions in the key areas of sales, marketing, membership, and IPW.
