Sí San Antonio Summer Campaign
The Sí San Antonio campaign launched June 15. The campaign features more than 150 promotional offers from partners around the city to entice consumers to plan their summer vacations. Sí San Antonio features a Staycation promotion targeted to locals and a Summer Getaway promotion targeted to travelers in Texas and our touch-state drive markets. After a week of activity, the campaign has generated over 34K visits to the website and potential travelers are showing great interest in the campaign.
However, the instances of COVID-19 have begun to spike again and concerns over the pandemic have forced decision-makers to re-implement restrictions designed to stem its spread. For instance, Gov. Abbott on Tuesday encouraged the state’s residents to stay home if at all possible. Visit San Antonio social media channels also saw a growing number of negative reactions considering the significant recent increase of COVID cases across the state.
As we want to be good partners in following those guidelines, we are temporarily pausing the proactive marketing of both the Staycation and Summer Getaway portions of the campaign. Offers and website will continue to be active, as an option for interested travelers and locals to take advantage of the promotion.
We are excited to announce that our newly renovated Meetings website is live at: https://meetings.visitsanantonio.com/. This website reflects a clean, very visual design that is similar to the leisure site. It features clear, precise navigation no matter where visitors land on our site, and a filtering system to explore hotels, venues and service providers. There is also a simplified RFP submission process and easy access to marketing materials and resources.
Open for Business Announcements
Visit San Antonio recently deployed e-blasts to meeting planners across the nation announcing that San Antonio is open for business and we will help them plan their unforgettable event, while keeping the safety of their guests top of mind. This message is also being shared through social media posts on our trade Twitter channel.
2020/2021 Visitor’s Guide
The 2020/2021 Visitor's Guide is set to release at the end of July. The primary purpose of the guide is to provide content that inspires people to visit the destination. This year, Visit San Antonio is expanding the guides exposure with a value of more than $450,000 for the guide.
