November Groups Recap: 

In November, the Destination Experience Team provided support to 12 groups convening in San Antonio.  Managers coordinated and led 13 planning site visits during the month for groups that will meet in San Antonio between 2021 and 2022.

Citywide Spotlight: 

Attendance building continues to be a huge focus for the Destination Experience Managers. In November, we had two groups – Access Intelligence’s Clean Gulf and the American Academy of Religion & Society of Biblical Literature’s Annual Meeting – that benefited from a pilot e-campaign program. 

Working alongside our marketing agency, we were able to develop and launch a targeted SIC social media campaign to help bolster drive in market attendance through targeted social media ads. The efforts were successful and achieved greater attendance in the final days of registration with the additional marketing assistance. 

The groups also experienced many first-time attendee registrations that can be attributed to the e-campaign created by Visit San Antonio. We look forward to strategically assisting more groups with similar marketing support to help garner larger attendance and room nights through these continued efforts.
