Visit San Antonio’s highly successful editorial social media partnerships continued in August. As part of an extended relationship with Mexican celebrity Roger Gonzalez, the team had collaborated with him earlier in the summer to help promote the San Antonio consumer activation in Monterrey, Mexico. For this trip, Roger returned to San Antonio to explore the destination for coverage on his social media channels as well as for a segment that aired on national morning television show, TV Azteca’s Todo Un Show.

The love from Mexican social media influencers continued later in August as Instagrammers “Virro y Lola” showcased San Antonio’s colorful sights. The duo produced an inspiring portrayal of their visits across the city including the River Walk, Confluence Park, the Central Library, Essex Modern City, Hemisfair, The Majestic Theater, Hotel Havana, Dough Pizzeria, Paramour, Pharm Table, Botika, San Antonio Botanical Garden, Mission San Jose, The Guenther House, The. Guadalupe Cultural Center, The McNay Art Museum, Tre Trattoria, and San Antonio Museum of Art.

This month, Visit San Antonio also had the privilege of exploring City Council districts 2, 9 and 10 as part of a “Show Us Your District Tour” with the council representatives for each district. These tours have been wonderfully productive and helpful as the Communications team searches for hidden gems and interesting stories to share with media.
