Dear Valued Partners:

We have had a wonderful start to the fall festival season with Day of the Dead weekend. It was truly magical to see our city light up in celebration of the cultural tradition of remembrance, with over two dozen Day of the Dead events across San Antonio. Last weekend was a testament to the fact that there’s no other city in the U.S. that celebrates Dia de los Muertos as authentically and proudly as San Antonio.

Here are some highlights from the previous month.

IMEX Las Vegas - The IMEX America show in Las Vegas is the premier global gathering of the meetings, events and incentive-travel industry, where buyers, suppliers and destinations come together for trend-setting ideas, education and business. Visit San Antonio’s Sales & Events team connected both new and established clients at the show, sparking fresh inspiration and building relationships that will elevate San Antonio’s convention and meeting experiences. With those new insights in hand, we’ll bring back creative strategies and vibrant programming to position San Antonio as a leading destination for unforgettable meetings and conventions.

Mexico’s ‘Dinner in Pink’ - As we seek to grow our visitation from Mexico, Visit San Antonio partnered with premier luxury travel outlet Food & Travel Mexico to highlight San Antonio as part of their annual “Dinner in Pink” fundraising auction event, which benefits women with breast cancer. This is the first time that a non-Mexico destination was highlighted and will produce media coverage in the print and digital channels of Food & Travel Mexico, in addition to being featured during the October event, including cooking by San Antonio chef Elizabeth Johnson of Pharm Table.

As we look ahead to tomorrow, we are excited to welcome our community and industry partners to the 2025 Visit San Antonio Annual Meeting. This special gathering is an opportunity to reflect on our shared achievements, recognize the strength of our tourism and hospitality industry and look forward to the bright future we continue to build together. If you did not get a chance to register, walk-up registration will start at 8:15 a.m., when doors open. See you at the Aztec!
