Dear Valued Partners,

This week is extra special as we celebrate National Celebrate Services Week, recognizing the event professionals whose dedication and commitment to service transform meetings and events into meaningful experiences. This year's theme, "Rooted in Service," is a fitting tribute to the individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes, creating memorable moments that leave a lasting impression. Visit San Antonio looks forward to celebrating these professionals at the annual Celebrate Services Breakfast on Thursday, Aug. 6 at The Monarch Hotel, where we will recognize the remarkable contributions of our event service professionals and honor this year's Event Service Professional of the Year. Thank you to San Antonio’s event professionals for embodying the spirit of service that makes our hospitality community one that is unmistakable.

Here are some highlights from July.

Convention Kick-off: Group business kicked off strong in July, bringing thousands of attendees to our destination. Future Business Leaders of America generated over 10,000 room nights from June 29 to July 2. Texas legacy groups rounded out the month with Texas Bandmasters 2026, Texas Package Stores Association's Annual Convention & Trade Show and the Texas Restaurant Association.

Hotel Demand Continues to Climb: San Antonio's hospitality industry continued to build momentum throughout July due to leisure travel and seasonal events, such as July 4th weekend. This continued growth reflects the collaborative efforts of our hotel partners, attractions, restaurants and hospitality professionals who work every day to deliver exceptional visitor experiences. Together, we are strengthening San Antonio's tourism economy and positioning our city for continued success.

San Antonio Shines on ABC: San Antonio hit national headlines once again as ABC featured Fourth of July celebrations from across the country, which included the Alamo City. San Antonio native and ABC Correspondent John Quiñones showcased how Independence Day is celebrated in the heart of South Texas. National audiences experienced the unmistakable charm of our city, from the historic Alamo and the iconic San Antonio River Walk to our traditional Tex-Mex dishes. The feature provided an outstanding opportunity to showcase San Antonio's unique blend of history, culture and hospitality to millions of viewers nationwide.

As we look ahead, fall and the holiday season will be here before we know it, bringing new opportunities to attract visitors and showcase the best of San Antonio. I encourage all members to begin planning seasonal experiences, special events, promotions and exclusive offers that will inspire travelers to visit your business during these vibrant months. Once your offerings are finalized, be sure to participate in Visit San Antonio's fall and holiday marketing campaigns to increase your visibility and reach a broader audience.
