Two River Parades, Community Celebrations, Live Entertainment and ‘Sip Around the Rainbow’ Return to San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO (May 29, 2026)—The Visit San Antonio Pride River Parades & Celebration returns for its fifth year on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Since its launch in 2022, the event has showcased San Antonio’s welcoming spirit, bringing the community together in celebration along the iconic San Antonio River Walk. This year’s festivities will feature 18 decorated barges floating along the San Antonio River, live entertainment, local vendors, family-friendly activities and the return of fan-favorite emcee Lyn-Z Andrews as mistress of ceremonies.
The Pride River Parades & Celebration has become one of San Antonio’s most joyful and meaningful traditions. This year’s theme, “SA Welcomes All,” reflects the spirit and values of Pride Month. In celebration of the event’s fifth anniversary, the parades will feature two grand marshals: San Antonio Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones as Civic Grand Marshal, and San Antonio native and nationally recognized content creator Adam Ray Okay as Honorary Grand Marshal.
Visit San Antonio is proud to create welcoming and inclusive experiences that uplift the city’s LGBTQ+ community while showcasing the culture, creativity and hospitality that make San Antonio unique. In addition, 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of San Antonio’s first Pride march. In recognition of this historic milestone, Mayor Ortiz Jones will read a special proclamation at the historic Arneson River Theatre before the start of the Downtown Parade.
Parade Schedules
There are two separate river parades. The Museum Reach Parade will take place from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will travel from Brooklyn Avenue to Pearl. The Downtown Parade will take place from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., beginning at Lexington Avenue and continuing through the River Walk and Restaurant Row.
Arneson River Theatre Celebration
Before the Downtown Parade begins, guests can enjoy live entertainment at the Arneson River Theatre from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The theater seats up to 300 people, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. The first float is expected to arrive at the theater at approximately 8:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and utilize downtown City of San Antonio parking lots, with parking rates ranging from $5 to $15.
La Villita Celebration
From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., the celebration continues at La Villita Historic Arts Village with a curated community activation in partnership with Pride210. The La Villita Celebration will feature 20 vendors, including nonprofits, artisans and food vendors, along with entertainment, dancing, crafts and interactive activities for attendees of all ages. New this year is Plaza Juarez, an expanded activation space designed to further celebrate community, creativity and Pride throughout the evening.
Sip Around the Rainbow Returns for Second Year
Visit San Antonio is also bringing back the second annual “Sip Around the Rainbow,” a month-long cocktail experience taking place May 30 through June 30 across San Antonio. New this year, the activation expands citywide with more than 20 participating restaurants and bars throughout San Antonio. Each participating location will feature specialty cocktails and mocktails inspired by the colors of the Pride flag, representing the diversity and unity of the LGBTQ+ community. Featured experiences include Hilton Palacio del Rio, where cocktails are named after drag performers, and Ida Claire, where guests can enjoy signature pink cocktails created in celebration of Pride.
The Fifth Annual Pride River Parades & Celebration is free and open to the public. For more information and a full schedule of events, visit the San Antonio River Walk website.
