SAN ANTONIO (May 16, 2025) – San Antonio is the ideal summer getaway and 2025 is hopping with new attractions, events, and special offers and deals.   • SeaWorld San Antonio: Rescue, Jr.: a new, kid-friendly interactive adventure zone themed around SeaWorld’s animal rescue efforts just opened. 

  • Texas-sized expansion at Six Flags Fiesta Texas: the largest DC Universe themed area in America includes opportunities to meet superheroes and villains and all new rides. 

  • Morgan’s Wonderland is the world’s first ultra-accessible theme park, but is built for everyone. Celebrating its 15th Anniversary with new elements including a swing ride, wheelchair-accessible zip line, 4D theater, and more. 

  • Schlitterbahn: Perfectly located just north of San Antonio In the beautiful Texas Hill Country, is hailed by many experts as the world’s best waterpark and offers acres of splashy fun.  
     

There are always special events in San Antonio, the city known to throw a party at the drop of a sombrero. Here are a few highlights:  

  • The River Walk Pride Parade (May 31, 2025): will feature multiple highly-decorated floats and a celebration in La Villita will create a fun day for all. The parade theme is Rainbow Rodeo celebrating rich and diverse Texas roots.  

  • Fiesta Noche del Rio (Friday-Saturday nights, June 6 – August 3, 2025): celebrating its 68th season, a vibrant cultural extravaganza at the Arneson River Theatre on the iconic San Antonio River Walk – music, dancing, and festive fun.  
     

As Military City, USA, San Antonio goes big celebrating Independence Day across the city! Some don’t miss activities:  

  • City of San Antonio’s official fireworks celebration at Woodlawn Lake. 

  • More than five festive blocks on Houston Street will burst to life with patriotic energy and all the star-spangled magic, Veteran and active military groups, ROTC clubs, classic car clubs, marching bands, and community organizations to help bring this vision to life.  

  • At the Alamo: Visitors can celebrate Independence Day all weekend with a variety of historical demonstrations and programs throughout the day. Visitors can sign a giant Declaration of Independence. And grand finale with an amazing drone show!

  • Six Flags Fiesta Texas  

    • Star-Spangled Nights will energize the Fourth of July holiday weekend with red, white and blue fireworks and patriotic music. 

    • Summerbration is a summer-long event series featuring limited-time shows throughout the park through Labor Day Weekend. Visitors can enjoy Rockville Beach Party retro summer classics, ¡Caliente! high-energy Latin rhythms and more.
