Visit San Antonio welcomes the season with the ¡Viva El Verano! parade, a unique floating fiesta on the iconic River Walk, where five colorful barges with live mariachi bands traveled down the river, filling the heart of the city with energy, joy, and festive spirit.
This event marks the official launch of the "Many Reasons to Live Summer" campaign, a season filled with unforgettable experiences, exclusive hotel promotions, family attractions, local talent, and the warm, vibrant atmosphere that distinguishes San Antonio.
San Antonio is the ideal summer getaway destination, and 2025 is packed with new attractions, special events, and surprises for everyone. These are the new features
- SeaWorld San Antonio – Rescue Jr .: A new interactive adventure zone for kids, inspired by SeaWorld’s animal rescue efforts.
- Six Flags Fiesta Texas: DC Universe-themed expansion, the largest of its kind in the U.S., with new rides and encounters with superheroes and villains.
- Morgan's Wonderland : The world's first ultra-accessible park celebrates its 15th anniversary with new attractions like a wheelchair-accessible zip line, aerial swing, 4D theater and more.
- Schlitterbahn : Located north of San Antonio, this water park is considered by many to be the best in the world. It's the perfect place to cool off this summer.
Special events not to be missed:
- PRIDE at the River Walk (May 31): Celebration with floats and a party in Little Village. This year's theme is Rainbow Rodeo .
- River Night Party (June 6–August 3): A vibrant cultural event at the Arneson River Theatre on the River Walk, featuring music and dance.
- Shakira Concert (June 13, Alamodome): One of the most renowned Latin artists worldwide will perform in San Antonio as part of her highly anticipated tour. A perfect opportunity to combine music, culture, and an unforgettable summer getaway.
- AquaGlow : Aquatica presents its summer show, a nighttime party with neon lights and a vibrant atmosphere throughout the park.
- Summerbration: Special shows throughout the summer, like Rockville Beach Party and ¡Caliente!, are coming to Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
- 4th of July Celebration: Official fireworks at Woodlawn Lake; Houston Street fills with patriotic spirit with parades, bands, classic cars, and community organizations. The Alamo will also feature historical activities throughout the weekend, with a spectacular drone show as the grand finale.
