Never miss tee time again.

“When I moved from Chicago to San Antonio for my job, I didn’t realize it would be such a great place to live,” resident Bill Scorpio says. A lifelong golfer, Scorpio is happy to be playing several times a week year-round rather than just a few months a year. Now a member at TPC San Antonio, home of the Valero Texas Open, Scorpio played a variety of local courses when he first relocated from Chicago.

“When I moved here, and I was still working, I played with coworkers on the Alamo City Golf Trail, a number of public courses that include Brackenridge Park, the oldest municipal course in Texas,” Scorpio says, noting that San Antonio golf courses have beautiful oak trees and rolling terrain, and points to the First Tee programs, which introduce youngsters to the game, as an ideal activity for golfers with kids. Away from golf, Scorpio enjoys weekend visits to Fredericksburg’s nearby wineries, another plus of living near the Texas Hill Country.
