LGBTQ+ Trendy Adventures in the Alamo City
The Many Unique Locations of San Antonio Continue
Are you ready for even more explorations throughout the Alamo City! Let's head out for day two of our Trendy Adventures Itinerary.
Day One | Day Two
Start your day off by fueling up for event more adventures. Enjoy brunch in Southtown at The Good Kind. From hearty brunch options like the Turkey & Cheddar Panini and the Spicy Chicken Sandwich to smoothies on the lighter side, you're sure to find just the right amount of food fuel for an adventurous day.
Next, it is time to find out what San Antonio's Arts & Culture scene is all about. Head to the McNay Art Museum to soak up modern art, where over 22,000 pieces await.
Next visit ArtPace in the heart of downtown. Artpace features a residency program that supports regional, national and international artists. And if you're looking for comprehensive ancient Greek, Roman, and Egyptian art, then San Antonio Museum of Art may be the place for you.
Finally, for a look at public art, book an outdoor gallery tour of San Antonio's murals with San Antonio Mural Ride.
If arts immersion is your scene, then visit the LGBTQ+ owned Hopscotch for their distinctive immersive and interactive installations. In addition to new installations, you can also find the feature GAZE by the Human Rights Campaign.
GAZE is an LGBTQ+ friendly art installation that transports guests into a world that encourages them to see beyond their own experience and into a future that embraces love and acceptance for all. Once you are done exploring, enjoy a refreshing drink from their full onsite bar.
Next, head south toward the River Walk's Mission Reach, an 8-mile stretch offering biking and hiking trails with an importance on sustainability and eco-tourism.
Stop in Southtown for refreshing local and Texan brews at the Friendly Spot before having dinner at Burgerteca where Americana and Mexican flavors merge.
Your San Antonio vacation is not complete until you enjoy a run along the Mission Reach. Stop at Confluence Park where you can hike, bike or paddle along trails that extend from the Blue Star Arts Complex through just before Mission Espada.
