LGBTQ+ Trendy Adventures in the Alamo City

The Many Unique Locations of San Antonio

There is always something new to discover in San Antonio. With trendy, one-of-a-kind locations, unlimited adventure offerings, and endless ways to enjoy our city, our Trendy Adventures itinerary will take us on a two-day excursion to some of our favorite San Antonio locations.

Day One | Day Two

Start by getting your bearings with an urban tour of San Antonio by foot with MOV Tours.  Surround yourself with beauty and history and feel the unique sense of place San Antonio embodies.

Fancy yourself a wine connoisseur? Follow your tour up with a journey in the heart of the city at Hemisfair. Fun fact: Hemisfair was originally created for the 1968 World’s Fair. Enjoy wine tasting at Re:Rooted 210 Urban Winery.

Next, Center yourself and treat your mental and physical wellness to yoga or tai-chi classes at the beautiful San Antonio Botanical Garden. If you have time for a ticketed show, book some seats at Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, or the beautiful Majestic Theater.  Catch a live band at the Aztec Theatre or enjoy local theatrical shows at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Theater or the Carver Community Cultural Arts Center.

Ready for dinner? Head north of downtown on the River Walk, follow the trail toward Museum Reach and savor pre-dinner drinks at Elsewhere – Garden Bar and Kitchen. Then follow the path north to Pearl, once a late 1800s brewery and now our city’s culinary destination, and choose from over 20+ unique and chef-inspired restaurants.

Continue your downtown San Antonio adventure and enjoy city views from the sky! The view from Thompson Hotel’s rooftop restaurant, The Moon’s Daughters, is stunning.

If you prefer your adventures to stay on the River Walk street level, Domingo’s at the Canopy by Hilton will give you delectable delights under a canopy of beautiful cypress trees, a perfect spot for people-watching on the San Antonio River Walk.

The night is still young; if you need even more downtown adventures, visit San Antonio’s gay bar and nightclub, The Bonham Exchange, which has three floors of entertainment.
