However, we’ll save the pumpkin spice lattes for the morning. For now, we’re looking to taste all the fall flavors at our favorite San Antonio breweries and wineries. Get ready to fall into some fun.
The Texas Hill Country is known for its rolling hills, autumnal foliage, and wineries. But did you know you can get a slice of the fall winery experience in downtown San Antonio?
Re:Rooted 210 Urban Winery is an urban wine country oasis in the heart of Hemisfair. They’re serving up some delightful full-bodied reds on tap and the perfect charcuterie and cheese pairings. What better way to start the fall season than with a glass of red on the patio?
Bonus: Can’t choose one wine? Enjoy a wine-tasting flight! This is the best way to experience all fall flavors — whether you prefer a dry white flight or bold reds.
San Antonio has a rich German heritage, and what better way to experience it this fall than with some Oktoberfest-inspired classics? Kunstler Tap Haus is a traditional German-style beer garden focusing on hop-rich IPAs and complex Belgians.
They’re also serving classic German dishes, like soft pretzels and schnitzel. For fall, they’ve released their Night Witch brew, a bold, hazy IPA with a hop-forward profile and a juicy finish. It sounds like a delightfully wicked treat we’ll enjoy all spooky season long!
Bonus: Have you found a beer you love? Take it home! Kunstler offers cans and growlers so you can enjoy your favorite beer at home.
Prost, y’all! Vista Brewing is also celebrating Oktoberfest this fall. This all-day cafe and tap room is located on San Antonio’s Eastside in the Dignowity Hill neighborhood.
Their fall menu includes eats such as bratwursts, German potato salad, schnitzel sandwiches, and more. You’ll also be able to find your favorite fall brews on tap during the evenings and wake up to autumn coffees in the morning, including apple-spiced cold brews and salted honey maple chai lattes. It’s the best of both fall worlds!
Like the Alamo itself, the Alamo Beer Company is one to remember! Embracing all things San Antonio, it offers an authentic local mix of cultures, inspired by the city’s German and Hispanic roots.
Enjoy the crisp autumn air on their large outdoor patio set under the Hays Street Bridge and challenge your friends to classic yard games like cornhole. You can enjoy a Bavarian pretzel between rounds and wash it down with a V!VA Los Muertos brew. This black lager is brewed in celebration of the fall Día de Los Muertos celebrations, paying tribute to the traditions of those before us.
Bonus: Alamo Beer Company has an all-day happy hour every Sunday! Enjoy $6 pours, yard games, live music, and more. It’s the perfect way to spend a fall weekend.
