Welcome to San Antonio's Northeast—Airport

The Family Fun Never Ends

San Antonio’s Northeast neighborhood spans a broad area. That means lots of outdoor space. And lots of family fun.

Also, Randolph Air Force Base—home to the 12th Flying Training Wing—is on the Northeast Side. A neighborhood favorite, McAllister Park boasts 1,000 acres, 15 miles of trails, 200 picnic tables, sports fields, and a dog park.

At Morgan’s Wonderland, everyone is invited to have fun fishing in the 8-acre lake and exploring all of the rides, playscapes, and activities.

Historical Significance

The northeast neighborhood is home to Comanche Lookout Park, the fourth-highest point in Bexar County, at an elevation of 1,340 feet. In the past, Native Americans used this hill as a vantage point for warfare and hunting. Also, the hill was a prominent landmark for travelers in the 18th and 19th centuries, as part of the Camino Real extended into this area.
