Day Two

Morning

Breakfast Under Concha Umbrellas

San Antonio is known for its colorful River Walk umbrellas and tasty concha pastries. Now, you can dine under giant conchas while eating breakfast at Alamo Biscuit Company and Panaderia.

This spot is located on the river in the Shops at Rivercenter, and next to our next stop. We don't want to tell you how to live your life, but the Avocado Toast, complete with berries and candied pecans, is a great start to the day.

Go Big (Bugs) at the San Antonio Zoo

Start the day with your animal friends at the San Antonio Zoo. Pro-tip: Grab a coffee and pastry at the Starbucks located at the Zoo entrance for a family breakfast on the go.

As you stroll through the different species in their native habitats, be sure to check out the larger-than-life animatronic insects in the Zoo's latest feature, "Big Bugs."

Make it a day and take a Conserfari Tour where you can take a drive through the Naylor Savanna.

Afternoon

Have a Picnic Lunch

Next, let's try something fun for lunch. Head to Pearl-Midtown and stop at Pearl, which has quickly become one of San Antonio’s top foodie districts.

Grab some bites from Pullman Market to make your own picnic and lounge on the Pearl lawn while the kids play.

Visit a Museum (Just for Kids)

Not far from Pearl, you’ll find the Doseum, San Antonio’s museum for kids!

Celebrating 10 years, the DoSeum welcomes your young travelers to cool off with some hands-on fun as you make your way through interactive exhibits and even slide down a “chilled” metal slide that stays cool in the Texas heat.

On view through September 1, 2025, you'll find "Emotions at Play with Pixar's Inside Out." An interactive exhibit that explored the important role emotions and memories play in everyday life.

Evening

One Last Dinner Before Saying “Adios”

Before you go, head over to Historic Market Square for a farewell dinner at Mi Tierra Cafe.

Here you’ll find authentic Tex-Mex and even a bakery where you can pick up some snacks for the road!
