Start your museum adventures at The Witte Museum, where science, nature, and culture explode into incredible experiences. Exhibitions you can find throughout spring include: Toys: The Way We Play which showcases retro toys you may have forgotten from your own childhood; Beasley's Vaqueros of the Brush Country where you can take a step back into vaquero life from the 1930s  - 1960s; and Antarctic Dinosaurs: A Forest Frozen in Time opening February 25, 2023.

You can also take a trip to The DoSeum for hands-on interactive and immersive exhibits that will keep your children engaged while they learn about science and technology. Rated as the #1 children's museum in the US and known for being both kid and environmentally friendly, The DoSeum is a safe place for children to learn and explore high-level STEM concepts. Running through April 16, 2023, guests can explore the colorful world of Eric Carle at Very Eric Carle: A Very Hungry, Quiet, Lonely, Clumsy, Busy Exhibit. Put yourself in the Very Hungry Caterpillar's shoes, weave a web with the Very Busy Spider, and say hello to Baxter the Robot.

San Antonio Museum of Art

Finally, don't forget to check out the San Antonio Museum of Art for beautiful worldwide works. On display this spring you can find Roman Landscapes: Visions of Nature and Myth from Rome and Pompeii. There is something for the whole family while you experience art from ancient Greek, Rome, Egypt, and plenty of contemporary artwork.

Running now through July 2, 2023 at Centro de Artes in Historic Market Square,  “Soy De Tejas: A Statewide Survey Of Latinx Art” explores over 100 works of 40 contemporary native Texas and Texas-based Latin artists representing the seven regions and 15 cities. Centro de Artes is open Wednesday - Sunday and is free to the public.

On display at The Contemporary at Blue Star through May 7, 2023, JooYoung Choi: Songs of Resilience from the Tapestry of Faith explores JooYoung Choi's take on issues with identity, belonging, trauma, and resistance through pairing, video, sculpture, animation, music, and art installations. Choi calls on sci-fi and fantasy in her works as these genres held high importance to her in her childhood.
