Dear Valued Partners,

We welcome the new year with renewed energy and focus as we continue to build upon an encouraging 2022. The last few months have given us a head start on accomplishing goals, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Visit San Antonio Team and collaborative efforts with our members, partners, and stakeholders. Here are a few sales highlights from the last quarter through December 2022:

  • 778 Sales leads
  • $128.57 - Average Daily Rate (ADR)
  • 63.2% - Hotel Occupancy Rate
  • $81.24 - RevPAR

Another great moment from Q1 was our first Tasting Texas Wine+Food Festival flavored by the James Beard Foundation. It was refreshing to see the community support of our local, distinguished chefs at this inaugural event. We learned and listened to attendees of the festival and look forward to making improvements this year. As the Culinary Capital of Texas, we look forward to an even larger Tasting Texas later in 2023.

San Antonio in December continues to be a top destination to welcome the holidays. The Ford Holiday River Parade, which was nearly sold out, was broadcasted live on KABB Fox San Antonio. It is time-honored and family-fun events such as these, which attract visitors and tourists looking to experience a one-of-a-kind holiday season. You can watch the 2022 Ford Holiday Parade on YouTube.

We are ecstatic that San Antonio has been listed in Condé Nast Traveller’s 23 Best Places to Go in the USA in 2023. The destinations listed were recommended by Condé Nast Traveller Editors. These types of lists in top publications are excellent resources for travelers as they plan upcoming trips and vacations.

Lastly, we want to thank everyone who came to our open house. It was great seeing many of our partners and members to celebrate our return to a “live office” and the Holidays. I applaud our membership team for coordinating an excellent gathering. I would also like to thank the following partners for generously serving guests, these include:

The County Line

La Panadería

The Board Couple

Pouring Events

Silver Eagle

Barista Kats

If you were unable to attend our open house, feel free to stop by and take a tour of our new offices.

It continues to be an exciting time for San Antonio’s hospitality and tourism industry. We look forward to another history-making year and are glad to share these historic moments with our City.

With warm regards,

Marc Anderson
