SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – The 30th annual Valero Alamo Bowl will be played at the 65,000 seat Alamodome in San Antonio on Thursday, December 29. Kickoff time will be 8 p.m. CST.

Matching up the top teams from the Big 12 and Pac-12 conferences after the CFP selections, this is the third straight year and 14th time in bowl history the game will be played on December 29.

The 2021 Valero Alamo Bowl featuring #12 Oregon and #16 Oklahoma delivered San Antonio a total economic impact of $45.4 million, 4.7 million viewers on ESPN, and 59,121 fans to the Alamodome. Additionally, 160 San Antonio area high school seniors and college students split $1 million in Valero Alamo Bowl scholarship awards.

As part of the 30th anniversary celebration, the Valero Alamo Bowl will award over $1.1 million in scholarships this season bringing the historical total to over $9.5 million split between 1,500+ winners representing every area high school and university.

This year’s Bowl matchups will be revealed on Sunday, December 4, following the regular season and conference championship games. The first event on the 2022 Valero Alamo Bowl calendar is the PNC Pigskin Preview on August 31.
