San Antonio Fire Museum
One of Texas’ most visited tourist sites, the San Antonio Fire Museum gives visitors an intimate look into the old Central Fire Headquarters and Fire Station No. 1. Open to the public in June 2013, and located just steps from the back gate of the Alamo, the museum site is Fire Chief Hood’s personal home. Stroll downtown, explore the Alamo, then learn all about one of the most unique fire station’s in Texas. The Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A contribution of $4.00 for adults and $3.00 for seniors is encouraged; children and active military are free.
