Texas Freedom Festival – Juneteenth Emancipation Day Celebration

Juneteenth celebrates June 19th, 1865 the day that Texas slaves learned of the Emancipation Proclamation. Activities take place throughout the city honoring the day including picnics, a festival, a Freedom Fair, and other cultural festivities.
