Aerial Yoga – All Levels
Description: This Aerial Yoga series class will introduce participants to basic concepts and poses of an aerial yoga practice. Utilizing an aerial sling as a yoga prop, participants will build strength, increase flexibility, and find relaxation. This class will begin with a centering pose followed by gentle strengthening exercises aided by the silk, we will then move through yoga asanas (poses) adapted to the aerial silk, asanas will be followed by inversions and the class will close with restorative poses and savasana.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A CIRCUS BASED TECHNIQUE CLASS. THIS IS A YOGA CLASS TRANSLATED ONTO AERIAL FABRIC USING AN AERIAL SLING AS A PROP.
Prerequisites: Open to anyone! No experience necessary!
Schedule: This series class meets once per week on Mondays from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM.
Please note that there is a $15 registration fee for all new students.
