1st Annual Helotes 0.5K Challenge
The Helotes Chamber Foundation will be hosting the 1st Annual Helotes 0.5K Challenge “A Race for the Rest of Us” on November 9th in Old Town Helotes. We are celebrating the “Average Joe” while raising money for three area non-profits: Any Baby Can SA, Besties for Breasties, a top fundraising team of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and The Helotes Chamber Foundation. This fun and short race will parody traditional 5K runs and will have many activities along the grueling 546-yard course to keep people of all ages entertained including kiddie pool mud pits, lawn mower tire flips, a bubble barrage, and a 7 foot tall limbo while surrounded by a swarm of ukulele players. There will also be a carb-loading and rehydration station at the halfway point offering coffee and donuts, along with each participant getting a free beer/soda both before and after you complete the race. When everyone is worn out from their long run, they are invited to our “after party” where the E7 Band will be performing live. Come out and join us at this fun run supporting a great cause!
