Visit San Antonio and Culinaria have partnered with the world-renowned James Beard Foundation to bring the Tasting Texas, Wine + Food Festival to life at historic Travis Park in the heart of beautiful downtown San Antonio. Be a part of the first-ever statewide culinary festival to partner with the James Beard Foundation and attend this four-day culinary festival «with a purpose» showcasing both distinguished and up-and-coming chefs from all across Texas as well as national all-stars and diverse talent. Come experience the vast culinary offerings of Texas in the Culinary Capital of Texas – San Antonio!

A Culinary Festival with a Purpose

Realizing a shared vision with the James Beard Foundation to make good food for good™, and spotlight women and minority communities, a partnership between the Foundation, Visit San Antonio, and Culinaria was a natural progression. Proceeds from Tasting Texas will benefit the James Beard Foundation’s scholarship programs, which in turn, provide opportunities for minority culinary talent to develop their skills and experience. Further, by providing high-level exposure to chefs from Texas, the city of San Antonio, and others across the country, Tasting Texas aims to help the restaurant industry, locally and nationally, grow from the devastating financial effects of the pandemic.
