Parade of Lanterns
Ten 26-ft. long boats carrying enormous illuminated lanterns will float throughout the downtown section of the River Walk. Enjoy the spectacular lantern show for free each night- new lanterns added annually. Check out the parade route map on TheSanAntonioRiverWalk.com/events

Mardi Gras Festival & River Parade
A procession of decorated river floats transforms the San Antonio River Walk into a floating Mardi Gras celebration. Krewes of costumed revelers and live entertainment celebrate San Antonio style. Enjoy live music, entertainment, and food trucks. The public is encouraged to come dressed in masks, costumes, and beads. Free admission.

St. Patrick’s Day Festival & Parade
St. Patrick's Day has been celebrated on the River Walk since 1968 as a joint project of the San Antonio River Walk Association and the Harp & Shamrock Society of Texas. This tradition continues today. Green Bud Light will be sold at the Arneson River Theatre along with Irish and other ethnic foods. Each year since 1968 the River Walk is magically transformed into the River Shannon with eco-friendly green dye. This year it is brought to you by Maddogs. This is a very exciting time to visit the River Walk and watch the amazing transformation. A bagpiper plays on the barge as the river is transformed. Armed Forces River Parade
This free parade is dedicated to the men and women in all branches of the United States Armed Forces and features 26 patriotically-decorated and musical floats carrying all branches of military personnel and numerous businesses and nonprofits who honor and support active and retired soldiers.
