In celebration of «Roman Landscapes: Visions of Nature and Myth from Rome and Pompeii,» a special exhibition on view at SAMA this spring, we are partnering with the San Antonio River Foundation for a special river boat tour. Frates Seeligson, executive director of the foundation, will lead an hourlong excursion focusing on the San Antonio River and how the natural landscape has shaped our community.
Arrive early to experience «Roman Landscapes» before the tour and make connections between the ancient Romans’ relationship with the environment and our relationship with the South Texas landscape.
The tour leaves promptly at 1:00 p.m. Please arrive at The Gloria Galt River Landing accessible from our outdoor pavilion by 12:45 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the tour will be canceled, and tickets will be refunded.
