Hurry up and experience the wonder of the ocean before it’s too late! Planet Earth: Deep Sea Adventures a the San Antonio Zoo closes out on September 5th. This exhibit will take you and your family to the bottom of the ocean for a fully immersive experience.

Deep Sea Adventures is a great way to keep cool this summer because the event features an indoor aquarium and well-covered outdoor sections. You can also see some of these magnificent creatures up close and personal!


Earth Matters: ReThink the Future at The DoSeum

Changes are happening on Earth right now. How can we innovate solutions for a more sustainable future? Find out at Earth Matters: Rethink the Future at The DoSeum. Experience a deep dive into the science behind biodiversity, climate, and carbon emissions and discover how the smallest of actions can significantly impact the world around us.

Earth Matters will be on display May 28 – September 5 and included with General Admission and DoSeum Memberships.


Tony Parker’s Heroes and Villains at San Antonio Museum Of Art

This is your last chance to take your little Marvel and DC fans to the San Antonio Museum of Art for Tony Parker’s Heroes and Villains exhibit. Get up close and personal with around 40 life-sized sculptures of the best-loved heroes and villains from popular science fiction and fantasy sagas such as Star WarsGuardians of the Galaxy, and The Avengers.

The exhibit is held in the Cowden Gallery, and online tickets are available. The event ends on September 4th.


Full STEAM Ahead at the Briscoe Western Art Museum

Learn how STEAM (science, technology, the arts, and mathematics) impacted the American West through the Full STEAM Ahead exhibit at the Briscoe Western Art Museum. Your child will look at the West in an entirely new way through engaging activities that will teach audiences more about the Briscoe Western Art Museum’s arts and artifacts.

There are also Full STEAM Ahead dates from September through December, with various themes each month that touch on weather, animals, astronomy, engineering, and transportation. For example, the theme for August is Whimsical Windmills. Windmills have become an iconic image of the West, but did you know they were also one of the first home innovations powered by alternative energy? Using the windmill as inspiration, families and children will create their own alternative energy homes using recyclable materials. This event will be on August 20th from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.


The Power of the Poison at The Witte Museum

Looking for another place to have fun and keep cool this summer? The Witte Museum is the perfect place! From now until September 5th, you can discover The Power of Poison. Each exhibit will help you understand poison in unique ways. For example, you’ll learn the difference between venomous and poisonous, the type of poisons used in popular stories such as Snow White or Alice in Wonderland, and much more.

You can also play detective by finding clues about toxins and poisons to help solve cases of accidental poisoning. Your child will also learn how poison can be beneficial and lead to life-saving drugs.

Tickets can be purchased alongside regular museum admission. Tickets are free for members and children 3 and under.
