The Diwali Festival of Lights is a five-day holiday celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs, and other faiths across India and South Asia. It marks the time the moon takes to orbit the Earth, akin to New Year’s Eve.

The Diwali Festival of Lights celebration also displays how light triumphs over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. It also is a time to foster prosperity and wealth. Diwali celebrations include traditional festival food, ceremonies, wearing fine clothes and accessories, and using light in many different forms, from candles to fireworks.
