Twilight At Confluence Park
When: November 4th, 7 – 9pm.
Where: Confluence Park
If you have never been to Confluence Park, this is a great way to introduce yourself to it! An event made especially for neurodiverse individuals and caregivers (though all are welcome!), Alora Pop-Up Series: Twilight at Confluence Park is a free event that includes an informal walking tour of Confluence Park grounds paired with movement and sound baths. Refreshments and snacks will be available as well.
SeaWorld Christmas Celebration
When: Select Days November 10 – January 2, 2023
Where: SeaWorld San Antonio
Have you been ready to deck the halls since the clock struck midnight after Halloween? SeaWorld San Antonio’s Christmas Celebration is decking out the halls for the BIGGEST Christmas celebration in Texas, an extraordinary holiday event. This wintry wonderland features Christmas shows, festive foods, Santa Claus, the largest Christmas light display in Texas and so much more!
Cinema on Will’s Plaza, The Fantastic Mr. Fox
When: November 11th, 7:30pm – 9:00pm
Where: Will’s Plaza at Tobin Center for the Performing Arts
On the second Friday of each month, The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts hosts an outdoor movie screening free for all to attend. If you find yourself in the Alamo City on the second Friday of November, be sure to bring your blankets and lawn chairs, and come out to the cinema on Will’s Plaza on November 11th for a showing of the Fantastic Mr. Fox directed by Wes Anderson. This animated film is based on the beloved tale from Roald Dahl and tells the story of Mr. Fox, who outfoxes (pun intended) three farmers. Full concessions and a bar are available for drinks and eats.
Lightscape at the San Antonio Botanical Garden
When: November 11, 2022 – January 8, 2023
Where: San Antonio Botanical Garden
Lightscape at the Botanical Garden returns to San Antonio this November and if you visited last year, this exhibit was just getting started. In addition to last year’s most beloved installations, stunning new additions have been added to make the one-mile path that winds through the Garden illuminated with thousands of twinkling lights and festive displays. Take a stroll through unique installations that can only be found in Texas, created and curated by local and international artists – be sure to purchase your tickets ahead of time!
Black History River Boat Cruise
When: November 12th, 4:30 – 6:30pm
Where: San Antonio African American Community Archive & Museum (SAAACAM) and the San Antonio River Walk
If you’re a history buff, SAAACAM’s Black History River Boat Cruise is for you. Drift down the river on a barge as you take a 100-minute thought-provoking mental journey through time. Hear about the stories and legacies of African American history that shaped the city and the lasting impacts made by heroes of long ago.
Tres Culturas, Un Puerto Rico (Three Cultures, One Puerto Rico)
When: November 12th, 7-9pm
Where: McAllister Auditorium
In San Antonio culture sings – and dances! Brought to you by the Puerto Rican Heritage Society, Tres Culturas, Un Puerto Rico (Three Cultures, One Puerto Rico) details the origin story of Puerto Rico through unique storytelling methods. Featuring Ballet Folklórico Sangre Viva, based in Puerto Rico, you’ll experience world-class folkloric music and dance performances including live musicians poetry and more!
Goo Goo Dolls at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts
When: November 15, 7:30-10:30pm

Do you not want the world to see you because you don’t think that they’d understand? If so, then you’re in luck. The Goo Goo Dolls pay a visit to San Antonio on November 15 at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. Hear some of their greatest hits paired with songs from “Chaos in Bloom,” the band’s latest album released in 2022.
Rotary Ice Rink Presented by Valero

Ice skating? In South Texas? Yes! Head over to Travis Park for the Rotary Ice Rink Presented by Valero. This very popular winter wonderland returns to San Antonio November 18 and is perfect whether you are hitting the ice rink for the first time or are a regular skater. This event proves to be very popular with locals and visitors alike – be sure to get your tickets in advance!
Zoo Lights at the San Antonio Zoo
When: November 18, 2022 – January 1, 2023
Where: San Antonio Zoo
Get in the holiday spirit with Zoo Lights at the San Antonio Zoo. Sip hot cocoa and stroll through several Zoo Light zones, including the Starry Safari and Polar Point. You will also be dazzled by the Lakeside Lightshow, where you can dance to your favorite Christmas tunes and Latin-inspired songs.
Mariachi Extravaganza Presents Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán
When: November 18-19, 2022
Where: Lila Cockrell Theatre
If you can’t get enough music of the Mariachi genre, this event is for you. Celebrating its 28th year and holding the title of largest, longest running and most competitive National mariachi group, vocal and original songwriting competitions in the world, Mariachi Extravaganza is back! Listen to some of the most talented mariachi musicians and vocalists from the U.S. at this 2-day event!
Community Yoga at Mission San José
When: November 19th, 10-11am
Where: Mission San José
If you’re a traveler who likes to find your Om wherever you go, find peace and serenity at Community Yoga at Mission San José. This is a free event – just bring your mat and a water bottle and find your zen at the only UNESCO World Heritage site in Texas.
Yanaguana Indian Arts Festival
When: November 19th, 10:00am – 5:00pm
Where: Briscoe Western Art Museum
Celebrate San Antonio’s Native American communities at the annual Yanaguana Indian Arts Festival. Join us for this free event and get an intro to traditional and contemporary Native American culture with Native American artists, musical performances, dancing, storytelling, artist demonstrations, as well as Native American-inspired food. 36th Annual Light the Way Holiday Festival at the University of Incarnate Word
When: November 19, 2022, 3-9:30pm
Where: The University of Incarnate Word
Get in the holiday spirit with live music, food trucks, activities for children, Santa himself, all under an evening filled with thousands of twinkling lights and fireworks. Head over the University of Incarnate Word campus for this event. Traveling by car? Be sure to arrive early for the best parking locations!
Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival

Where: Tobin Center for the Performing Arts to Travis Park
Experience the largest free outdoor arts festival in South Texas at Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival. At this immersive festival, you can enjoy many different arts: fine arts, digital art, dance, poetry, and other fun forms of expression. In addition, enjoy live music from a variety of different musical talents as well other entertainment performances.
H-E-B Christmas Tree Lighting 2022
When: November 25, 2022, 3-9pm
Where: Travis Park
Ready to light up one of the city’s largest Christmas trees? Head over to Travis Park the Friday after Thanksgiving for H-E-B’s Christmas Tree Lighting 2022 to illuminate the tree for the first time of the season! Tree lighting is at 6:20pm, but the fun doesn’t stop there. Stay after for a free screening of “The Polar Express!”
Ford Holiday River Parade and River Lighting Ceremony 2022
When: November 25th, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Where: The San Antonio River Walk
Kick off the holiday season with the 41st Ford Holiday River Parade and River Lighting Ceremony. Santa and Mrs. Claus are back, and they’re bringing 28 illuminated floats and 100,000 dazzling lights. Plan ahead and purchase your tickets now! Dinner packages are also available from some of the most prominent restaurants along the River Walk. Free seating areas are available along the parade route, but these are first-come, first served. You won’t miss this spectacular holiday, found only in San Antonio.
