San Antonio's mild climate, sunny days (300 per year) and 50 plus golf courses make any day a good day for tee time. And it is one of the country's top golf destinations according to Golf Magazine. (continues below)

There is a long golfing history here. The first course in Texas opened here in 1916 and the first Texas Open, one of the original PGA Tour events, was played in San Antonio in 1922. Today, San Antonio's premier golf courses are adding to the city's storied legacy of the sport. Best of all, San Antonio's airport is in the central part of the city, so you can go from runwawy to fairway in minutes.
All levels of golfers – including champions – will enjoy the challenges of The Resort at Tapatio Springs' courses. Often ranked as a “Top Ten Texas Course” by the Dallas Morning News, the original 18-hole champion course has been divided into two separate nines, “The Lakes” and “The Valley,” which are now accented by nine holes at “The Ridge.” All 27 holes provide players with dramatic elevation changes, spectacular water hazards and outstanding fairways and greens. Designed by award-winning American golf course architect Bill Johnston, the Tapatio course is as unique and beautiful as the Hill Country itself.
