In nearby Fredericksburg, at the lavender scented bucolic splendor of Becker Vineyards, enjoy a multi-course Winery Lunch. Star chefs will create tantalizing dishes to match up with wines by visiting winemakers, who will share their stories with guests. Book early. This sells out every year.

Chefs and winemakers bring the best cuisines and wines together for the intimate but formal Black Tie event at the Westin La Cantera Resort. Expect a dazzling mix of entertainment and knowledge. Don't wait to too long to get tickets – they go fast.

Infusing rich flavors with colorful culture has made the Best of Mexico, held at the Villita Assembly Building on Friday, the fastest growing event on Culinaria's schedule. Chefs from Mexico and San Antonio will compare the best that Mexican cuisine has to offer. Look for spirits, beer and, of course, wine.
The weekend will wrap up Culinaria with a grand tasting, wine and food seminars, Sunday brunches and the festival's 5K run.

The Culinaria 5K Run/Walk will be held at the The Shops at La Cantera. Join in to burn off calories and enjoy the scenery or to partake in the great wine, beer and food offerings – or both. Registrants get a Culinaria T-shirt and wine glass.

The Grand Tasting at the Grotto at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center on Saturday will offer a chance to stroll the River Walk and sample trend oriented fare as well as new spins on traditional dishes. Chefs will prepare just the right amount to pair with wines and beverages. You'll get a commemorative festival glass to remember this high-end experience.
Sunday, May 20
On Sunday, Burgers, BBQ, Beer & Texas Spirits at The Pearl will cap off the festivities. Piquant meats will meet the best Texas wines, craft beers and spirits as everyone from local hangouts to fine establishments offer their best version of this classic backyard fare. Dress casual for this laid-back event.
