The Institute of Texan Cultures features 65,000 sq. ft. of interactive exhibits and displays that tell the stories of Texans. The mission of the Institute is to engage lifelong learners in the understanding and celebration of Texas cultural heritage. Guests are encouraged to bring their cameras, and don't be afraid to touch! Many of our exhibits feature hands-on elements! Our talented group of docents will share the story of each exhibit, and guests are encouraged to interact with our character performers. They bring many of the people you learn about in the museum to life! The institute is located on the UTSA HemisFair Park Campus, a short walk from the Alamo and the River Walk.
