Friendly, expert staff welcome your questions

VIC 2008 StaffKatrina Entzminger, Visitor Services Manager: "Our staff have lived in San Antonio for decades and know every corner of the city."

"We help people explore the city based on their interests -- golf, sports, culture, adventure, nature, water and other theme parks, tubing, helicoptor and hot air baloon rides, tours, hiking, horseback riding, hotels, museums, parks ... where to take children, where to stay with pets, how to get around by trolley or car, where to park your RV. Where to eat or stay, how to explore the Texas Hill Country, and the Wine Country, which is right on our doorstep. "

Five top questions visitors ask

  • How do I get around to see things if I don't have a car? The city trolley/streetcar system makes it simple to get around the city.
  • Do you have any coupons or discounts? Our S.A.V.E. program offers nearly a hundred discounts rates, admission prices and free gifts at San Antonio area hotels, shopping districts and attractions. Register for  S.A.V.E. online, then download coupons and other information before you come. Or, stop in at the Visitor Center and we'll get you started.
  • What kind of tours can I take? Take guided tours by bus, segway, hot air balloon or helicoptor. See major historical, cultural and architectural sights. Coming soon to the Visitor Center...an audio walking tour of downtown San Antonio.
  • What's going on in San Antonio today...tomorrow...this weekend...this week?
San Antonio has major events and festivals throughout the year and a more extensive Calendar of Events that lists hundreds of area events around the city and surrounding areas.
  • How do I get to the River Walk? The River Walk starts just outside the Visitor Center's front door.
