San Antonio: One Day of Sports
San Antonio is a sports fan’s paradise with more than 50 greens to tee off at and a full scorecard of professional teams.
Golf Courses
Over 50 courses include terrific urban greens like Brackenridge Park's course, opened in 1916 and now the oldest in the state, which challenges its players' shot-making.
In the Hill Country, visit a course designed by Arnold Palmer at La Cantera, championship courses designed by Arthur Hills and Associates at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa, or a spa between tee times at JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa.
Spectator Sports
In San Antonio, you can catch a basketball game almost all year long. October through June, watch the world champion San Antonio Spurs take on their foes at the AT&T Center. Meanwhile, the San Antonio Silver Stars of the WNBA fill the calendar with court action from May through September.
If you're in the mood for some peanuts and Cracker Jacks®, spend the evening with the San Antonio Missions. The Missions are the Double-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, so you'll get to watch these future stars of the baseball diamond vie for a spot on a big-league roster. Prefer to see athletes on ice? Watch the San Antonio Rampage play some of the best hockey in Texas.
