I see authenticity everywhere in San Antonio. It’s in the people and the pride we put in our restaurant industry.
Without a doubt, downtown is my favorite area of the city. I love being a part of it—it’s fantastic!
San Antonio offers so many unique events throughout the year. One of my favorites is Fiesta.
Anyone who wants a classic San Antonio experience needs to go to a Spurs game. Go Spurs Go!
We have so many great chefs and great restaurants. Il Sogno, The Sandbar, Brasserie Pavil, Watermark Grill, Biga on the Banks, Silo….we’ve put San Antonio on the map as a bona fide, chef-driven city with great world-class restaurants.
The burgers at Bracken Country Store are iconic, legendary. It’s a burger with the soul of Texas country.
The best barbecue in SA is at Two Bros. BBQ Market. Classic Texas barbecue, steel pits, oak wood, brisket, sausage, spare ribs….everything Texans demand.
My go to for Tex-Mex is Los Barrios. The Barrios family puts out some of the best.
Tre Trattoria is very unique for this city, with classic northern Italian, Tuscan-inspired cuisine. Pastas are made in-house daily.
If you look hard enough, this city has some of the best Asian food in the world. Thai Dee, which means Happy Thai, has incredible curries. Phoenix Café is where I stop for Chinese food. We’re talking the real deal.
There’s no better place for vacationing families to experience the essence of the city than on the River Walk. The Lodge at Castle Hills, my flagship restaurant, is absolutely spectacular for romantic couples. Nothing else in the country touches it for ambiance and romantic dining.
