Venue Description

The Villa Finale Visitor Center in the King William National Historic District has exhibits on the history of the neighborhood and preservation. It is a great place for visitors to become oriented before they walk the district. The Visitor Center also hosts museum programs and has a Museum Shop with work by local artists as well as a book shop with titles on preservations, local interest, and historic preservation. Villa Finale, also known as the Norton-Polk-Mathis home at 401 King William, was the home of civic leader, preservationist, and collector Walter Nold Mathis.
