Our In The Heart Meetings Promise
The San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau and San Antonio hospitality partners are united with a “one voice, one vision” mission under the In the Heart Meetings initiative. We are a city that extends our hearts to provide a personalized and genuine San Antonio experience to meeting planners and attendees.
The In the Heart Meetings initiative is based on four distinct pillars that promise to consistently and uniquely deliver desired meeting outcomes. In San Antonio, a rubber stamp approach is not permitted. Let us show you how we bring a deeper level of commitment to group meetings.
Our commitment begins with a promise to be PROACTIVE and assist you in achieving all of your meeting goals. One call to the CVB gives you easy access to hospitality partners, customized site inspections, targeted marketing support and attendance building actions. Recognizing the uniqueness of each group meeting, San Antonio sets itself apart by providing a personal liaison (Destination Sales Manager) who works with you to understand your preferences and group needs in order to provide a truly customized site visit. A dedicated CVB staff member continues as your point of contact from planning to execution and beyond the completion of the meeting.
We promise a PRODUCTIVE meeting experience. The famous River Walk conveniently connects hotels, meeting space, restaurants and attractions, and now provides even greater access to museums, public art and the historic and culinary hub of the Pearl Brewery. The San Antonio International Airport is centrally located to downtown (8 miles) and to resorts and hotels along the city’s outer loops. North San Antonio is the beginning of the scenic Texas Hill Country, offering charming small towns, award-winning wineries, and outdoor recreation.
The CVB streamlines the process of connecting customers with resources, sending out leads for proposals. Timesaving tools, such as our meetings website and printed resources, make it easier and more efficient for planners to match their meeting needs with hotels, meeting space, venue information and service providers.
We promise a PLAYFUL environment geared toward creating “emotional home runs.” Meeting planners and attendees will experience first hand our multicultural music, art, shopping, and culinary offerings; appreciate our rich historic attractions; and enjoy outstanding outdoor recreation, including championship golf and two major theme parks. So much to see and do is often an incentive for meeting attendees to stay longer and/or bring their families.
We promise to uphold our reputation as a PRUDENT and value-driven destination. Based on its 2008 reader’s poll, Travel + Leisure magazine recognized San Antonio as “America’s Most Affordable City.” The abundance of attractions and activities as well as the diversity of hospitality and area providers offer all the options for facilitating group meeting solutions. Moreover, proximity of hotels, meeting space, venues, and attractions offer significant transportation efficiencies, both in cost and time.
We look forward to achieving new milestones for group meetings. And we pledge to provide forward-thinking leadership that will continue to demonstrate how In the Heart Meetings is more than business…it is personal.
Here's what's in store. Deep. In the heart.
