Summer Davey has been with the CVB’s Sales Division since October 2005. In January 2007, she relocated to the Washington, DC area where she has expanded the CVB’s presence in this market. She is originally from Daytona Beach, Florida and was raised in the hospitality industry at her family’s motel "The Copacabana." In December 1997, she graduated with her B.S. in Business and Hospitality Tourism from the University of Central Florida. After graduation, Summer had the pleasure of working with both Hyatt Hotels and the Hilton Corporation in sales and marketing. Summer's most recent hotel sales position was as the Associate Director of Sales for the Capital Hilton and the Hilton Washington and Towers. Summer was married in August 2006 and resides in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband, Mike Davey who is the Assistant Food and Beverage Director at the Grand Hyatt Washington. In February 2008, Summer and her husband welcomed their first child.
