Steve Clanton joined the CVB as the Director of Sales and was recently promoted to Vice President of Sales in which he manages all sales and services.

Prior to joining the CVB, Steve had an extensive career in the hospitality industry with Marriott International. He has had sales leadership positions in three of Marriott’s flagship hotels including Atlanta and San Antonio. Additionally, he spent six years as the Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Marriott, where he was responsible for coordinating sales and marketing efforts, recruiting and assisting with development for an eight state region. He has been actively involved in helping to solicit and host major industry events including: Professional Convention Management Association, Meeting Professionals International, International Association of Exhibition Management and the NCAA Final Four Men’s Basketball Tournament. A native of Wyoming, Steve has two daughters who are students at the University of Texas, and Texas A&M University.
