John Vlieger is a native of San Antonio who has lived here all his life. He graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a B.S. in Marketing. His career has been focused on the hospitality industry, including a 10-year tenure at Six Flags Fiesta Texas before joining the CVB in June 2001. John’s wife, Patti, is the Principal of Comal Middle School and he is the proud father of two growing boys, Patrick and Christian
